FRONTIER WORKER

An employed or self-employed person who pursues his or her activity in one Member State and resides in another Member State to which he or she returns as a rule daily or at least once a week is a frontier worker. There are special coordination rules relating to the entitlements of frontier workers, such as on sickness benefits and on unemployment benefits.
